I am Dr. Loukrakpam Merin Singh, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Manipur Technical University. My professional background includes significant experience in both academia and the semiconductor industry. I previously served as an ASIC Engineer at NVIDIA, where I designed test logic for advanced 14nm and 10nm SRAMs used in GPUs. I also worked as a Design Engineer at Sankalp Semiconductor, focusing on Op-Amp macro-modeling and SAR ADC characterization.
My research interests center on developing energy-efficient hardware architectures for signal processing and machine learning, particularly for wearable and low-power medical devices. I am also deeply involved in the study of digital circuits and systems for neuromorphic and approximate computing.
Currently, I am serving as the Co-CI for a project sponsored by MeitY, Govt. of India. This project focuses on the development of an EEG-based real-time system for monitoring the Depth of Anesthesia (DoA). I am a member of professional organizations including IEEE, IETE, and IEI.
I earned my Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology NIT Silchar. Prior to my doctoral studies, I completed my master's degree in Microelectronics from BITS Pilani. I received my bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology.
